The Game

Welcome to Project E3EN, the doors wait for you. Project E3EN is a Sci-fi Horror game in which the player is tasked with helping a mysterious voice to navigate the facility and hopefully survive the carnage. The game takes place 2546 years after humanity has gone extinct. The outside world has been eradicated and nearly unlivable, nearly. A contingency plan was put in place to make sure that humanity still survived, the E3EN Project. A facility that is self-sustaining, a way to replicate humans endlessly, no faults and no human error. Well, that’s what was said in any case, within E3EN there’s a very different tale. The facility is swarming with errors. Primarily, the system wasn’t built to last over 1000 years, furthermore the Ai has had some problems in replicating a perfect human, the notion that it must be the best in all aspects has somehow found itself embeded into the Ai’s core program and experiments have broken out of there confinements. The whole facility is a mess.

Summary

The main character, Aya, is a clone in a facility. She was awakened by the AI that runs it as Aya was next to be awoken from cryosleep. Aya is one clone in the steps to perfecting humanity. At first, Aya is trying to escape but the AI is friendly in the beginning, she asks Aya to restore power to an area that went dark. Aya sees previous clones that are broken and evil, they chase her with blind rage. They're trying to shut down the AI as Aya is trying to fix the generator following the AI's orders. The AI will never let Aya leave because there's no such thing as perfect as the goal of the facility. The AI tests her By leading her through the failed clones To the area where she can get the power online. If Aya fails or clones rebel, the AI kills them. So Aya sees the failed ones and rebels. She starts asking questions. Why do the clones look like me? Aya reads a clone’s file or hears one of them speak telling her to stop the AI or escape and get help.

Goal

A functional horror game built using unreal engine that is playable and looks well put together. Something that stands out and can be considered original. A lowlight game with scarce details that we can use to our advantage in creating a horror atmosphere. Utilizing level design, and sound as much as possible. Avoid the spooky to survive.

My Goal:

A playable game that looks semi-cohesive. To further my skills in the art of game design and start on the journey to becoming an independent developer in the future.

Gameplay:

Interesting puzzles with a unique feel. Instilling that feeling of fear, while maintaining that player intrigue. Originality. 3rd person survival horror. Exploring the concept of multiplayer.
